王炳兴，男，浙江省绍兴人，1965年12月出生。理学硕士，统计学教授，博士生导师。毕业于华东师范大学统计系，2014年访问英国Brunel大学半年。主要从事可靠性统计和控制图等方面的研究。主持国家自然科学基金和教育部人文社科研究规划基金各一项，在国内外权威学术期刊《应用数学学报》、《Technometrics》、《IEEE Transactions on Reliability》、《Computational Statistics and Data Analysis》、《Test》、《Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference》、《Annals of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics》和《Computers & Industrial Engineering》等杂志上共发表学术论文60篇，其中被SCI检索19篇。获全国统计科学研究优秀成果奖课题论文类三等奖一项；获浙江省自然科学优秀论文二等奖多项。
